I am a full time professional DJ in the clubs as well as weddings and private events. I bought these speakers after hearing my friend use them at an outdoor block party and was blown away at how powerful the subs were and how clear the tops were. He played a variety of music through them and everything sounded so good. After I received my pair and did a couple of gigs with them, I sold my EV-50s because these blow them away!! If you're on a budget or not on a budget, pound for pound, these are the best gigging speakers you can buy, hands down! Amazing sound!!
Fast shipping.
Great price, great value, solid sound. I will have a run test review after using them for a Dj gig this weekend. Feel free to contact me for related questions on Instagram or Facebook @DjSenSaSean
I tested it the first time in my garage with bluetooth and my whole family heard it all through our house.
The sound is great for our church services. Clarity is great no matter if it is music or speech.
Easy to set up and use.
I was so excited about this system when I ordered it, and then was somewhat let down when it took over a month to be delivered. My real frustration was when I couldn’t connect to Bluetooth after trying many times and different scenarios. I wouldn’t recommend buying it.
Dear Customer,
We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused. As the S-1503 was in the pre-order phase when you placed your order, the wait time was slightly longer than usual.
Regarding the Bluetooth connection issue you mentioned, our customer service team has recorded a demonstration video of the Bluetooth pairing steps and sent it to you via email. Should you have any questions, please feel free to contact us at any time.
Sincerely,
Exoton Audio Team
I've got a drummer friend who also does sound gigs regularly. He was doing sound for a band I'm in and used a pair of these speakers. It was an outdoor gig but he had me walk around and listen to them and I was impressed.
Then, after hearing the price point, I decided to pull the trigger and pick up a pair for my other bands to use.
We've used them now for a couple of gigs in good-sized venues, 400+ people at each gig and all I can say is wow! I can't imagine you getting a better value than these.
We used the Exotons as our mains, but set up a pair of QSC KC12.2s to use as center-fills and a couple QSC KS112's to supplement the low end ... We barely used the QSCs at all. Had them at about 10-20% volume when the room was full of people.
The Exotons were plenty loud enough on their own, the highs reached all the way to the back of the event center, and we even had some folks that have heard us before say that "the sound" was excellent.
True audiophiles and pro sound techs might have a more discerning ear/point of view, but I can't imagine getting a better value than a pair of these Exotons! They are plug-and-play.
For comparison, a pair of these run ~$1200 vs. $4k for a pair of QSC's new KC12 column array speakers. And listen, I'm sure the QSC's sound awesome, but you'll have to decide how much the extra cost is worth to you when the average listener won't notice a huge difference between the two systems.
